Shelby Brandsma has been a Social Worker since 1996.  Shelby has spent her career dedicated to serving children and families, specializing in Family Court since 2006.  Shelby earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Marian University and her Master's in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Shelby has completed over 80 hours of mediation training with over 17 years of helping families create comprehensive parenting plans.  Shelby has extensive training in assessing families related to custody and placement disputes and assisting families with reunification, including providing case management services for step-up plans. Shelby holds a certification in Trauma Counseling from UW-Milwaukee and is a practicing psychotherapist specializing in Family Court cases, Treatment of Anxiety and ADHD.  Shelby utilizes Sandtray and play therapy techniques in her work with adults and children.  

Shelby is a member of AFCC and AFCC-WI, including serving on the AFCC-WI Board of Directors and has served for over 12 years on the Wisconsin Inter-Professional Committee on Divorce Board.
